Job Description
- Serve as the responsible party for assigned mandates
- Supervise the complete accounting cycle of the assigned client portfolio
- Lead mandate teams and coordinate task sequences
- Ensure the follow-up and respect of budgeted hours
- Guarantee compliance of books with accounting standards and correct any potential discrepancies
- Conduct regular and diligent reviews of files and all deliverables (reconciliations, reports, analyses, declarations, etc.)
- Ensure that commitments are met and deliverables are submitted on time
- Provide necessary feedback to mandate teams to help them meet ComptInc's expectations
- Maintain visibility on all clients at all times
- Keep the manager informed about mandates and accurately manage them
- Perform complex analyses and simplify the results
- Participate in the preparation of financial statements and corporate tax returns
- Collaborate with external auditors during verifications
- Participate in outsourcing mandates and work with other firm members
- Contribute to internal audits to ensure clients' accounting processes comply with current standards and regulations
- Build and maintain healthy, long-term relationships with clients
- Inform and train clients on relevant accounting, tax, and regulatory changes
- Control and maintain ComptInc's rigor and standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent is an asset
- Five to seven years of relevant experience
- Experience in an accounting firm is an asset
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (intermediate Excel)
- Familiarity with cloud accounting tools (Xero/QuickBooks/Hubdoc/Dext) is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
- Good understanding of accounting principles and tax standards
